This is the day that the Lord has made;
let us rejoice and be glad in it!
Psalm 118:24
This week we gather once again as God’s people, in God’s presence, to give God praises! Psalm 118 calls us into worship, inviting us to rejoice and be glad as we open our service in song with Come Thou Fount Come Thou King. Then 1 Peter 1:13-21 provides for us a wonderful reminder of the hope that we have through the precious blood of our Savior Jesus Christ. This powerful passage of Scripture prompts us to proclaim the truth of the gospel as we sing Christ Our Hope In Life And Death and Man Of Sorrows.
After a prayer over our Giving, we’ll have a fun and engaging Kids’ Time for all of our young worshipers! (After Kids’ Time, all of our “Littles” age 3 and under are dismissed to their classroom, while all older kids can grab an activity bag and stay for the service.) After some brief Announcements we are excited to have missionary partners Mark & Lori Lloyd share with us about God’s work in their ministry. Then, our Kingdom Come sermon series continues this week as I will be preaching a message from Matthew 17:22-27. It's a fascinating passage as we observe Jesus interacting with Peter as he addresses his unspoken questions about The Temple Tax. Lastly, we’ll close our service in song, praising the Lord because Jesus Paid It All, and be sent out with a Benediction.
Do you need prayer? Please let us know how we can be praying for you. You can drop a prayer request card in the giving box in the atrium, or send your prayer requests to: prayer@meadowsfamily.org.
