About Us

Know... Love... Become...

The "Meadows Family" is a diverse, multi-generational family of ordinary people learning to follow Jesus together. We believe that knowing Jesus is life's greatest joy, so everything we do is centered around helping people know, love, and become like Him.

Some of us have followed Jesus for decades. Others are just beginning to explore who He is. Wherever you are on that journey, you will find a home here with people like you—learning, growing, serving, and encouraging one another along the way.

Whether you've been in church your whole life or you're just beginning to ask questions about faith, there's a place for you here. We would love the opportunity to meet you and help you get connected.

Meadows Christian Fellowship began in 1955 with the simple goal of sharing the gospel with the new and growing community of Rolling Meadows. What started as a gathering of 17 people in a kindergarten classroom at Kimball Hill School quickly grew as God brought new families and new opportunities for ministry.

In 1961, the church moved into its first permanent home at the corner of Kirchoff Road and Oriole Lane. Over the years, additional buildings and renovations created space for worship, discipleship, children’s ministry, and community outreach. Along the way, we have helped launch and support other churches and continue to partner with ministries both locally and beyond.

More than seventy years later, we have had our ups and downs, but our mission remains the same. We exist to help people know Jesus Christ through faith, love Him through worship, and become more like Him through discipleship. We are grateful for God's faithfulness in every season and excited for what He will do in the years ahead.

We believe that everything begins and ends with a God who loves people.

In the beginning, He created all things and gave life meaning and purpose. As the crowning act of that creation, He created us—people, both male and female—specifically to live in relationship with Him. Unfortunately, we have all chosen to go our own way. The Bible calls that sin, and it has fractured our relationship with God, with one another, and even within ourselves.

However, rather than step away from that brokenness, God stepped into it. The good news is that Jesus—being both fully God and fully human—came to reveal what God is like, confront sin directly, and carried its weight to the cross. The better news is that He did not stay dead. Three days later, He rose from the grave, defeated death, and now offers us forgiveness and new life.

This new life includes following Jesus by turning from sin and trusting Him with our lives. However, this isn’t about self-improvement or religion, but rather a completely new way of life under His leadership. That said, we do not live this new life in an attempt to earn salvation. We follow Him because He already saved us and we know He is good. So, as we seek to follow Him, the Holy Spirit works to change us from the inside out—restoring what sin has broken and forming us into new people over time. Now, we have the joy of sharing that message with those around us as we look forward to the day when Jesus returns and God restores everything that has been broken—fully and permanently.

The Bible tells this amazing story and continues to shape how we understand truth, ourselves, and the world we live in. Because of that, it serves as the foundation for what we believe and how we live this new life. However, God did not just give us a book and expect us to live out this new life alone. He also gave us the church—a community of people that help one another stay faithful, grow in love, and put this way of Jesus into practice in everyday life.

Our values are not a checklist for spiritual performance. They just describe how we try live as a church family as we learn to know, love, and become like Jesus.

Unity:
We are one body in Christ. Unity doesn’t mean everyone thinks the same, but it does mean we stay committed to one another even when we disagree. We protect our shared mission, pursue peace, and work to prevent division from taking root.

Maturity:
Following Jesus is a lifelong process of growth. God shapes us through His Word, prayer, and the life of the church, forming our beliefs, character, and actions over time.

Trust: Healthy community depends on trust. We pursue relationships marked by honesty, consistency, and the freedom to speak and listen openly, even in difficult conversations.

Humility:
We recognize that we don’t have everything we need in ourselves. Humility keeps us dependent on God’s grace and open to learning, correction, and change without defensiveness.

Grace:
Because God has shown us grace in Christ, we extend grace to others—patience, kindness, and forgiveness, especially as people are growing and working through life and faith.

Together, these values shape a church culture centered on Jesus and formed through real relationships, real growth, and real love.
