It will be said on that day,
“Behold, this is our God; we have waited for him, that he might save us.
This is the Lord; we have waited for him;
let us be glad and rejoice in his salvation.”
What are you waiting for?
You may be anticipating something good… a promotion, or a visit from someone you love. On the other hand, you might be dreading something else quite different… a hard conversation, or a medical prognosis.
Whatever it is we find ourselves waiting for, we need to be reminded that God is present in the waiting. He is a faithful God, a reliable God, a saving God. This is what the prophet Isaiah was expressing in Isaiah 25:9 and it is these words of Scripture that invite us into God’s presence, as his people, to praise him for who he is and for all that he does for us.
We gather this Sunday to express our worship together through songs, Scripture, and prayers. Kids are always welcome at MCF! We have childcare available throughout the service for ages 3 and under, and a special Kids’ Time and activity bags during the service for all of our young worshipers. Central to our worship is hearing from God through the preaching of the Bible. This week, Pastor Michael Mackens opens the Bible to Matthew 22:15-22 to explore Jesus’ encounter with the religious leaders of his day over Paying Taxes to Caesar.
You can prepare for gathered worship by finding a few moments to simply engage with the Scripture and songs for this week. Ask God to use our time together to draw you closer to Him, to build up His church, and to glorify Himself. This week’s song playlist can be found on Spotify and YouTube. Everything you need to know about our Sunday worship services can be found on our website.
See you this Sunday!
