I will bless the Lord at all times;

    his praise shall continually be in my mouth.

My soul makes its boast in the Lord;

    let the humble hear and be glad.

Oh, magnify the Lord with me,

and let us exalt his name together!

Psalm 34:1-3

Psalm 34 is both a testimony and an invitation. As he was fleeing for his life and at great risk, David penned this Psalm as a poetic testimony to how God showed up for him in his time of desperate need. He declares, “I sought the Lord, and he answered me and delivered me from all my fears.” (Psalm 34:4) David’s experience leads him to worship, as he says in his opening statement, “I will bless the Lord at all times; his praise shall continually be in my mouth.” (Psalm 34:1)

David could have stopped there with his own testimony and personal praise to the Lord. But he doesn’t.

Instead, he invites others to join him in worshiping his saving God. He cries out to anyone who will humbly listen to his invitation, “Oh, magnify the Lord with me, and let us exalt his name together!” (Psalm 34:3)

This invitation is for all of us. We gather at the beginning of each week, with testimonies all our own, and with the same exhortation to exalt the name of the Lord together.

Join us this Sunday in accepting this invitation to worship. For our families with youngsters we have childcare available throughout the service for ages 3 and under. We also feature a special Kids’ Time and activity bags during the service for all young worshipers. In this week’s sermon, Pastor Michael Mackens will continue our new series on The Fruitful Life as we examine the spiritual fruit of KINDNESS.

Take the time to prepare for worship by engaging with the Scripture and songs for this week. Ask God to use our time together to draw you closer to Him, to build up His church, and to glorify Himself. This week’s song playlist can be found on Spotify and YouTube. Everything you need to know about our Sunday worship services can be found on our website.

See you soon!
