It is the Spirit who gives life; the flesh is no help at all.

The words that I have spoken to you are spirit and life.

John 6:63

There are so many things we encounter in our daily lives that can drain us. Poor health. Struggles at work. Hard family situations. Even the things that we strive to gain in life, once we acquire them, often take time and energy away from us rather than filling us up with more. The things we buy demand our attention. They need maintenance and repair. The titles and positions we achieve bring increased responsibilities that require more time and effort to maintain. We can get worn down. What we call “life” doesn’t feel life-giving at all.

But Jesus says, “It is the Spirit who gives life; the flesh is no help at all. The words that I have spoken to you are spirit and life.” (John 6:63)

And there’s our answer. The things of this world don’t give us life at all. But the words of Jesus, his Spirit at work in us… this is where true life is found. Life that transcends our earthly struggles. He came that we might have life, and have it abundantly. (John 10:10)

Join us this Sunday as we gather to worship our life-giving Savior. For our families with youngsters we have childcare available throughout the service for ages 3 and under. We also feature a special Kids’ Time and activity bags during the service for all young worshipers. In this week’s sermon, Pastor Michael Mackens will continue our new series on The Fruitful Life as we examine the spiritual fruit of PATIENCE.

Take the time to prepare for worship by engaging with the Scripture and songs for this week. Ask God to use our time together to draw you closer to Him, to build up His church, and to glorify Himself. This week’s song playlist can be found on Spotify and YouTube. Everything you need to know about our Sunday worship services can be found on our website.

See you soon!
