Peter and John got to play a role in a spectacular miracle of healing. As they walked into the temple to pray, they passed by a man who had been crippled from birth, begging for money. Peter looked directly at this man and told him he would be giving him something far greater than money. Then he reached out, took the man’s hand in his, and said, “In the name of Jesus Christ of Nazareth, rise up and walk!” The crippled beggar was immediately healed and gave loud praise to God as he went walking around and jumping up in the air, testing out his newfound physical abilities.

The people were utterly astonished! But Peter addressed the gathered crowd:

“...why do you wonder at this, or why do you stare at us, as though by our own power or piety we have made him walk? The God of Abraham, the God of Isaac, and the God of Jacob, the God of our fathers, glorified his servant Jesus… whom God raised from the dead. To this we are witnesses. And his name—by faith in his name—has made this man strong whom you see and know, and the faith that is through Jesus has given the man this perfect health in the presence of you all.” (Acts 3)

Every Sunday, the church gathers as people who have received a spectacular miracle. By the death and resurrection of Jesus Christ and through faith in his name, we have been healed from the crippling and deadly disease of sin. And in response we come together each week to give joyous praise to the God who has healed us and given us new life in Christ. Our worship takes many forms as we sing, read Scripture, and pray in the strong name of Jesus. For our families with youngsters we have childcare available throughout the service for ages 3 and under. We also feature a special Kids’ Time and activity bags during the service for all young worshipers. In this week’s sermon, Mark Barnes will continue our new series on The Fruitful Life with a message about the foundational place of prayer in our lives.

Will you join us in worship this week? You can prepare for gathered worship by finding a few moments to simply engage with the Scripture and songs for this week. Ask God to use our time together to draw you closer to Him, to build up His church, and to glorify Himself. This week’s song playlist can be found on Spotify and YouTube. Everything you need to know about our Sunday worship services can be found on our website.

See you soon!
