Meet the Pastor

God blessed me with godly parents who each came from Christian homes. Since they were highly active in the church, we were there whenever the doors were open. As a result, I came to trust Jesus as my Lord and Savior at the age of five and was baptized the next year. My salvation story speaks to the simplicity of the gospel. God does not require us to understand complicated theological truths, only that we come to him with a childlike dependence on him.

As I grew older, I became increasingly involved in church life until my junior year of high school when things began to change. As I struggled to find my identity, I began to engage the life the world told me I should live. In his mercy, God continually convicted me but also allowed me wander for several years until I experienced the emptiness behind the promises of the world. In his grace, God eventually brought me to a breaking point, and I surrendered to him. I am forever grateful for parents that pray and Christian friends who cared enough not to give up on me even when I tried to push them away.

The next year, God began to call me into ministry and led me to the woman who would become my wife. We have been married since 2005 and have three young daughters at home. Our journey in ministry includes pastorates in Mississippi, Ohio, Tennessee, and now back home in Illinois. We love what God has been doing at Meadows and feel privileged to have an opportunity to join his work.
