Our Beliefs

What We Believe

Meadows Christian Fellowship is a church that takes its stand solely and firmly on the Bible. We believe the Scriptures, both Old and New Testaments, are the inspired Word of God. Thus, they are the supreme and final authority for all Christian faith.

We believe in one God, creator of all things, infinitely perfect and eternally existing in three persons: Father, Son, and Holy Spirit. God deserves our adoration and devotion.

We confess our faith in Jesus Christ, as Savior and Lord, true God and true man. He was born of the virgin Mary, having been conceived of the Holy Spirit. He lived a perfect and holy life full of miracles and acts of compassion. He died on the cross as a sacrifice for our sins. Further, He arose from the dead and ascended into heaven where, from the Father’s right hand, He is head of the church and intercedes for believers. This very same Jesus is coming again soon.

We believe the ministry of the Holy Spirit is to glorify the Lord Jesus Christ, to convict, guide, instruct, and empower the believer for life and service. We would count it a great privilege to help you in your journey of faith and the incredible adventure of life with Christ.

We believe man was created in God’s image but chose to sin and is therefore lost, separated from God. The death and resurrection of Jesus Christ provide the only means for the forgiveness of sins and salvation. Only those who receive Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior are born of the Holy Spirit and thus become children of God, possessing abundant and eternal life.

The Role and Calling of Church Elders

It is our biblically informed conviction that Elders are called by God to love and care for all people God draws to the local gathering they serve and oversee. God will also require Elders to give an account for the spiritual health and vitality of those who willingly submit to their leadership through the commitment of church membership (Heb. 13:17). In order to tend to this enormous task, the New Testament prescribes a plurality of Elders (more than one) radically devoted to the word of God and prayer and committed to building up the church through the spiritual development and deployment of people in their care. It is also our conviction that throughout Scripture God routinely and consistently calls men to give an account for the spiritual state of His people. Therefore, our conviction is that Elders should be men.

Please reach out to the Elders with any questions, comments, or concerns you have.
