Now may our Lord Jesus Christ himself, and God our Father,

who loved us and gave us eternal comfort and good hope through grace,

comfort your hearts and establish them in every good work and word.

2 Thessalonians 2:16-17

God is good! All the time!

Scripture says that God is good and that he does good. (Psalm 119:68) He is good by his very nature, and out of his goodness flows the good things that God does.

We gather on Sundays as people who have been the beneficiaries of God’s goodness. As Paul writes in 2 Thessalonians 2:16-17, out of God’s love for us he has graciously extended to us something very good – the good hope that we have in Jesus Christ. And as those who have received of his goodness, God has given us the capacity to reflect his goodness and to have hearts established in good works and good words.

We won’t begin our worship on Sunday with these words… but we will end with them. All that we do in worship is a response to the goodness of God, and this week our worship will culminate in this blessing of Scripture spoken over us as both receivers and reflectors of that goodness. Will you join us in this expression of worship together? For our families with youngsters we have childcare available throughout the service for ages 3 and under. We also feature a special Kids’ Time and activity bags during the service for all young worshipers. In this week’s sermon, Pastor Michael will continue our series on The Fruitful Life with an examination of the Spiritual fruit of GOODNESS.

Take the time to prepare for worship by engaging with the Scripture and songs for this week. Ask God to use our time together to draw you closer to Him, to build up His church, and to glorify Himself. This week’s song playlist can be found on Spotify and YouTube. Everything you need to know about our Sunday worship services can be found on our website. And please plan to stick around for our Fall Business Meeting immediately following the service.

I look forward to worshiping with you!
