Then the angel showed me the river of the water of life, bright as crystal, flowing from the throne of God and of the Lamb through the middle of the street of the city; also, on either side of the river, the tree of life with its twelve kinds of fruit, yielding its fruit each month. The leaves of the tree were for the healing of the nations. No longer will there be anything accursed, but the throne of God and of the Lamb will be in it, and his servants will worship him.

He who testifies to these things says, “Surely I am coming soon.”

Amen. Come, Lord Jesus!

Revelation 22:1-3,20

This Sunday marks the official beginning of the Christmas season as we observe the first Sunday of Advent. This word “Advent” means “arrival, appearance, approach, coming.” As Christians, we observe this time of year to prepare to celebrate the first “advent” of Jesus Christ when he was born as a baby in Bethlehem. Along with this, we also look forward to Christ’s triumphant second “advent” when he comes to make all things new! This is the hope that we have, and it is why the theme of our first Advent Sunday is HOPE.

Join us as we begin once again the Advent journey to Christmas together through worship this Sunday. For families with youngsters we have childcare available throughout the service for ages 3 and under. We also feature a special Kids’ Time and activity bags during the service for all young worshipers. In this week’s sermon, Pastor Michael will begin his Christmas series The Best News Ever with a message from Luke 1:5-25.

You can take the time to prepare for worship by engaging with the Scripture and songs for this week. Ask God to use our time together to draw you closer to Him, to build up His church, and to glorify Himself. This week’s song playlist can be found on Spotify and YouTube. Everything you need to know about our Sunday worship services can be found on our website.

I look forward to worshiping with you!
